Welcome to the Kumayama Dojo Website!!

 

Our club is chartered through the American Tomiki Aikido Association,
 and the United States Judo Association. We teach the curriculum of those 
Associations to the best of our abilities.

 

Mission Statement:
Our mission is to teach personal defense through Japanese martial arts
and to teach our students to defend themselves and others in any
situation within the scope of the self defense statutes of Alabama
State Law.

We teach Aikido to persons age 14 and older.
We teach Judo to persons age 4 and older.

DEFINITION: SKILL ACQUIRED BY EXPERIENCE, STUDY, OR OBSERVATION.

Therefore, training in a martial art is a course of study, observation
and experience of, relating to, or suited for war. It is training to
become a warrior. As do any group of warriors, our members abide by a
strict code of ethics both on the mat and outside the dojo.
